Ideal Community Care assists with daily life tasks in a group or shared living arrangements by developing the skills of the individuals to live as independently as possible. We provide assistance to each participant living in a shared arrangement catering to their needs. 

Our highly trained and expert staff supports every way possible by teaching participants to live with others while ensuring to fulfil their responsibilities around the homes, assisting with moving into new homes or even assisting with daily tasks like getting ready, preparing meals and making sure you enjoy your life.

 

Innovative Community Participation

For any NDIS participant, Participating in innovative community activities improves well-being as they feel connected to people. Ideal Community Cares innovative community participation program is designed to support NDIS participants build skills to actively participate within the local community. 

We encourage participants through side-by-side practice to programs involving highly skilled community engagement to assist participants in expanding opportunities for community participation, networking and employment. We also encourage our participants to adopt a capacity-building activity to increase their chances of being self-sufficient.

Ideal Community Care focuses on people with disabilities in being self-reliant through Community Engagement, Social contribution and relationships, maintaining personal well-being, Awareness of personal interests & passions as well as emotional awareness and self-regulation.

Development of Daily Living and Life Skills

Development of daily living and life skills focuses on Training and development activities undertaken by NDIS participants to increase their ability to live as independently as possible. There is a range of activities that a person requires such as the ability to travel, use public transport, practise and maintain personal hygiene, grocery shopping and much more. 

Ideal Community Care understands the goal of each NDIS Participant and works with you and your family to develop everyday skills with a particular focus on building confidence and independence. With our highly skilled caregivers, we provide training to our NDIS participants which may be individually or through group activities. Our training on the development of daily living and life skills includes personal hygiene, toileting, personal care, preparing a healthy meal, maintaining cleanliness in-home, laundering, communication and accessing public transport and many more according to their needs.

Household Tasks

Assistive Products for Household Tasks

As an approved provider of NDIS, we aim to focus on them so that a person with disabilities can live the highest quality of life without having to depend on others. Assistive products for household tasks are specialised aids and equipment for NDIS participants that help them in cooking, cleaning, washing and home maintenance. 

Ideal Community Care also provides access to wheelchairs and other mobility products that help with daily tasks such as showering, toileting and other routine activities. We also provide assistive devices for household tasks like cooking, cleaning and dishwashing. 

In addition, we also provide state of the art equipment such as alarms, adapted clocks, doorbells, environmental control units and programmable memory aids for our NDIS participants.

Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities

Ideal Community Care offers an inclusive environment as well as learning opportunities, socialising, growth and more importantly having fun. We encourage NDIS participants to engage in activities independently and/or participate in the community, social and civic activities.

We assist participants in attending personal development courses in the following areas such as:

  • Visiting local library
  • Or even seeing a movie or going to concerts
  • Going to community events 
  • Furthermore joining a sporting club

Assistance Animals

NDIS assistance animals can have a hugely beneficial impact. To increase the capacity to do daily tasks for people with disabilities, the Assistance Animal program plays a vital role in it. One may get the NDIS’s assistance in the following ways:

  • Get funding for assistance animals mostly dogs
  • The animal assistants should be highly trained
  • And more importantly, the animals should pass the public access test.

This program also helps people to overcome their feeling of anxiety in social situations. They help people to make friends and stay calm.

Specialised Supported Employment

For people with disabilities, NDIS supports individuals who require extra care to pursue their employment goals. NDIS participants who require support in finding, keeping and transitioning between jobs are subject to specialised employment services.
